Smoothies are fantastic. In between meals, with meals or instead of meals. They’re nutritious, delicious, thick, fruity and the perfect food for every mood. You can throw in all or any types of fruit together and the result will almost always be amazing. They’re a great way to beat the heat and come highly recommended by nutritionists as an instant energy boosters.
A splash of orange juice infuses summer citrus into this healthy and refreshing snack.
½ c loose-pack mixed frozen berries or strawberries
½ c crushed Pineapple in juice
½ c Plain yogurt
½ c Sliced ripe banana
½ c orange juice
Combine the berries, pineapple (with juice), yogurt, banana, and orange juice in a food processor fitted with the metal blade, in a blender, or in a large measuring cup with an immersion blender. Process for about 2 minutes, or until smooth.

1 navel orange
Peeled ¼ c fat-free yogurt
2 Tbsp frozen orange juice concentrate
¼ tsp vanilla extract4 ice cubes
Combine the orange, half-and-half or yogurt, orange juice concentrate, vanilla, and ice cubes. Process until smooth.
This golden smoothie looks and tastes like sunshine in a glass, and it’s a nutritional knockout to boot. The orange juice and pineapple are high in vitamin C and the banana is a good source of potassium.
In blender, combine orange-tangerine juice, carrot juice, pineapple, and banana and blend until mixture is smooth and frothy. Pour smoothie into 1 tall glass.
This smoothie would be great with a variety of other fruit. Try substituting the same quantity of fresh or frozen blackberries, raspberries, or even chopped mango.
In blender, combine strawberries, blueberries, orange juice, ginger, yogurt, and ice cubes. Blend until smooth, scraping down side of container occasionally.

1/4 cup deeply steeped whole-blossom Chamomile tea
1/4 cup soy milk
1/4 cup raw cashews
2 frozen sliced organic bananas (small-medium sized)
1 raw ripe banana (small-medium sized)
6 ounces Vanilla Soy Yogurt
1 cup ice
1 dash cinnamon
1 tsp maple syrup
Garnish: dried Chamomile flowers
Steep chamomile tea for at least 2-5 minutes. Stick in the fridge to cool for ten minutes. Add all ingredients to blender. Blend until smooth. Garnish with whole dried chamomile flowers from a cut open tea bag, or loose tea.
#.Chocolate Strawberry Smoothie
The best part about this smoothie is its simplicity. The bananas are there to give it a creamy texture, and the chocolate syrup works as an ingredient and a topping.
If you want to make it healthier, though, use cocoa powder instead.
2 tbsp chocolate syrup (or cocoa powder)
1 cup yogurt (plain, Greek or soy yogurt)
#.Mango And Vanilla Smoothie
This smoothie is nicknamed the “gloomy day smoothie” because of its bright color and tropical taste. It’s perfect throughout the year to make it feel more like summer.
1 mango, chopped
1 banana, chopped
1 cup of orange juice
1 cup of vanilla yogurt
Add all ingredients in to a blender and puree until smooth.

2 ripe bananas, cut into 1-inch chunks
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1 cup fresh orange juice
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons wheat germ
2 cups crushed ice
Combine the bananas with the yogurt, orange juice, honey, wheat germ and crushed ice in a blender. Blend at high speed until smooth and frothy. Adjust the sweetness with more honey or orange juice and serve.
Delicious with frozen strawberries or mangoes instead of the pineapple, and with orange juice or any other nut milk for the liquid.
Blend banana, pineapple, jam, coconut water, and oil in a blender until smooth.
