Home Remedies To Repair Dry Cracked Heels

But don’t fear heel pain these home remedies for cracked heels will help you cure this condition all by yourself.

What Causes Cracked Heels?

There are various reasons for cracked heels that can cause cracked feet including dry air, lack of any moisture, use of harsh soaps etc. When feet are neglected and proper care is not taken, it causes foot crack. Unhealthy diet and a shortage of water can also cause the skin to crack. Wearing wrong size shoes, or standing on hard floors for a long time without wearing any footwear worsens the problem. Psoriasis, diabetes, corns, eczema, calluses and thyroid disease are some of the medical problems that also contribute to cracked heels. Winter worsens the problem so it becomes vital to get it treated before that.

Home Remedies For Crack Heels

1.Rice Flour

Rice flour can serve the purpose of helping you remove cracks in the heels. It is a good home remedy to exfoliate and scrub dead skin.

Take a bowl, put 4 heap tablespoon of rice flour. Add few drops of lime. One to two drops of lavender essential oil to give you soothing effect. Make it thick by adding few drops of water. Scrub it on your feet focusing on cracked heels. Rinse your feet with lukewarm water. Repeat it daily or on alternative days.

2.Rose Water And Glycerin

Rose waterand glycerin is a killer combination. When they are combined together they combat all negative things and makes skin softer and moistened.

Take half cup of rose water and put it in a clean bottle. Take same quantity of glycerin and ad it in the same bottle. Shake it till it’s mixed. Take a small portion of liquid and apply if after taking bath, before going to sleep, after putting off shoes and even before wearing socks. Repeat it as many times as possible in a day.

3.Shea Butter

Shea butter has been used for curing dry skin. Here as well we use this property and cure cracked heels. This is helpful for painful and deep cracks.

If the cracks are deep and painful, soak your feet in water well. Once the pain is reduced by the heat and the skin softens up, apply shea butter and massage well. Follow the rule again and wear socks and leave it on overnight. This should help and show results immediately. Use it daily until the pain decreases and the cracks heal.

4.Petroleum Jelly

Petroleum jelly and cracked feet have been together since it was produced. It has all those elements which helps in making skin softer, better and moist.

Wash your feet and dry them. Apply Vaseline nicely enough to fill in all the cracks. Wear socks. This is a remedy which will not turn you down if you act upon it on nights, before going to sleep.

5.Honey

You have to add one cup of honey to a warm tub of water. Soak your clean feet into the mix and massage it on a gentle basis for at least twenty minutes. Now, gently exfoliate your skin by the use of a pumice stone. Dry your feet afterward and apply a thick moisturizing cream all over your feet. You can do this process on a regular basis as you go to bed each night.

6.Apple Cider Vinegar Soak

Because of its antibacterial and exfoliating properties, apple cider vinegar has a really special place in DIY beauty treatments. Simply dilute a cup of ACV in the hot water and enjoy your bath for at least 10-15 minutes. This soak has a cumulative effect, which means the more consistently you use it, the better looking toenails and softer healthier feet you will have. Athlete’s foot can also be relieved with this apple cider vinegar soak, however if your case is severe you will need to use it daily.

7.Lemon And Sugar Scrub

Ever thought of trying another way to help yourself from cracked heels using one sugar and lemon? Here, we have shared something which will make you proud because the results are not only good but amazing. All we want you to do is to do it for a week.

Dip your feet in lukewarm water for ten minutes. Make a scrub by putting one tablespoon of sugar. Squeeze one whole lime in it. Rub it well on the cracked heels. Rinse and dry. Repeat it every day for a week.

8.Coconut Oil

Coconut oilis another amazing treatment for cracked heels. With its natural antiseptic, antibacterial, antimicrobial, antifungal, hydrating and healing properties, it serves as the perfect treatment for rough and dry cracked heels.

Before going to sleep, put some oil on your fingertips and gently massage it onto your cracked heels. Slip on a pair of clean, cotton socks. Wash off your feet the next morning with lukewarm water. For best results, use the Soak and Scrub method before applying the coconut oil.

9.Aspirin Tablets

Try this trick if the rough skin shows actually strong. Crush five aspirin tablets and blend into a paste with a half-teaspoon each of water and lemon juice. Spread over equally both heels, then covering your feet with plastic wrap and a warm towel. After 10 minutes, unpack and wash the paste off. Scrub with the pumice stone the skin should scale off more bravely.

10.Avocado Oil

Avocado oil is a natural skin soother in a bottle. It’s excellent for cuts, scrapes and cracked skin. It helps to kill germs and heal and moisturize skin. Rub a tsp of avocado oil on feet before bedtime. Cover with socks and wake up in the morning to soft heels. Repeat each night until skin is healed.
